new year ... and a not-so-new perspective

Each year seems to move with so much more speed than the last ... I look around and wonder where all of the time has gone. I mean, it was JUST yesterday when I looked like this sweet little baby.
(adorable, right?)

And then all of a sudden, it is 2012, and we are celebrating yet another fresh new year full of hope, promise and excitement ....2012 was my 37th fabulous new year (yep, I am admitting my age). I am pretty impressed that I still feel like I am sixteen on most days and perhaps 25 on those other not-so-frequent days.

In two months, I will celebrate my 38th year of life, and I have decided to "borrow" another blogger's amazing idea of the enthusiasm of life, love and kindness. Her birthday wish was to perform one random act of kindness for every year she has lived (coincidentally, 38 years and 38 acts). She enlisted her family and friends to participate, as well as her blog, Facebook and Twitter followers. She asked for reports back from each person as they performed their acts of kindness throughout the day.

She received an overwhelming response - Robyn is pretty amazing!
How I Celebrated My Birthday (aka 38 Random Acts of Robyn)

My Random Acts of Jennifer  will officially begin on February 17,  and I will attempt to perform 10 acts of kindness each day for 38 days until my birthday ~ March 25. I hope you will join me and post comments, photos, stories and smiles throughout this journey. I will try to post photos (thank you, parents, for the fabulous new camera) and comments for as many of the acts as possible each day, but sometimes as we know, the hours just get away from us ~ so I promise to update as often as I can.

To be honest, I hope I perform these acts on a daily and very frequent basis, however ... to chronicle them, and the acts of others, will be truly eye-opening and amazing.

I hope you all are having a SUPER New Year, and I am very excited to see and hear from all of you over the coming months!

Stay tuned,
Jen
